Notes from author
This was my end build. Figured i'd save it, since i quit playing recently. Was originally a gravelord servant and, though cool, is not very rewarding...
Some would probably suggest a few changes, but it did work well for PvE AND PvP. Let me tell you though; it was difficult to piece together.
The build was mainly me trying my hand at something original, but also functional. Nothing wrong with looking stylish AND being able to put up a fight.
Some tips though:
The heavy crossbow could catch some opponents off guard, and a well timed surprise-shot won a few duels. Also worked on spell-casters or healers, assuming they don't shoot you first. Also be sure to use the Heavy Bolts (usually carried 999 :p), as they have a tendency to stagger some opponents.
ALWAYS duel wield the barbed straight sword unless you're going for a parry. And... Improvise. Be creative. The build can be flexible and some victories may require daring action. The build was NOT made to take massive damage, so be careful if tanking. I suggest priscilla's scythe if you prefer something a little more... Forward.
The gravelord sword dance hit's rarely and tends to leave you vulnerable. Only use it if you have some tactical plan, or in narrow spaces. Because of the random blades, it can easily miss... Or it can do some fairly decent damage (though someone ran right up to me in the middle of it completely unscathed, so luck is a factor). If you use it out of range, most will use the opportunity to shoot you with whatever they have, usually spells or Avelyn.
As for the poison throwing knives, entirely optional.
I never go for backstabs during duels, but hey, knock yourself out. It's rare to find someone else who WON'T do it anyway...
Ultimately, it was a fun build. Try it and adapt or improvise at your leisure... And if not, Thank You for reading all of that anyway :p
Preferred dueling spots: undead burg, kiln of the first flame, oolacile township.
Signing off....
