Use elemental versions of the weapons/Quelaag's Furysword as backup against high magic defense armored opponents or GMB, or use Obsidian Greatsword for pure physical damage and buffability.
Can use 6.5 unit weight weapon setups like Great Scythe/Uchigatana + Rapier, Claymore/Halberd + Dagger/Short Bow etc., and by replacing Grass Crest Shield with Large Leather Shield, Obsidian Greatsword instead of the Estoc + Quelaag's Furysword combination.

Pros :

Cons :
1. Lowers equip load by 3.0 and 1.9 unit weight on both setups respectively, reducing equipment setup variety.
37 Poise setup - Replace Sorcerer Cloak/Black Iron Gauntlets/Hollow Warrior Waistcloth with Chain Armor/Giant Gauntlets/Hollow Soldier Waistcloth.
Pros :
1. Can tank one-handed greatsword and curved greatsword R1s without Wolf Ring.
Cons :
1. Lowers equip load by 4.3 unit weight, further reducing equipment setup variety.
