This was originally going to be an INT/END hybrid, but then I learned about softcaps (I haven't been playing DS that long). The build centeralizes around being able to take as little damage as possible per hit received - hence a decreased emphasis on VIT - while hitting hard in various situations.
ARMOR OVERVIEW:
Mask/Child: lightweight, aids Stamina Regen.; perfect with equipped shield.
Giant's Armor: high resistances, high poise
Black Sorc.'s Gloves: lightweight, high Magic Res.
Elite Knight Leggings: good poise and protection for the weight (and overall), looks boss.
WEAPON OVERVIEW:
Moonlight Greatsword: +40 Magic Res., 100% INT scaling, good poise damage
Black Knight Sword: physical alternative against foes with high Magic Res., great power for a weapon requiring 34 or less STR.
Greatshield of Artorias: uses little Stamina when blocking, blocks bleeding buildup when blocking.
Logan's Catalyst: best catalyst for where I want to be with my INT stat.
NOTES:
- With 2.5 lbs. left before rolls become heavy, there is wiggle room for equipment loadout changes.
- The Horn of the Moonlight Butterfly is worth noting as an alternative weapon to either RH slot. Note that if you replace the Greatsword, the Magic Res. bonus will be lost, but replacing the BKS results in a loss of physical damage output and a weapon you can 2H for bonus damage.
- The BKS is there only because it's almost as powerful as the Moonlight Greatsword, and shares a regular attack moveset with it. For attack style variation, however, other STR-based weapons can be considered.
