A build that doesn't force you to use FaP nor Havel's, keeping your options very open. Plus rounded stats look nice.
The armor set is pretty good in my opinion. Looks good, gives decent defense and 14 poise which when paired with the doog ring offers 54 poise, enough to tank a 2HR1 from a greatsword class weapon.
I really like the Great Lord Greatsword and the Mail Breaker is an incredible little thing. Or you can use the Claymore (or any other 6 weight weapon) with any 3 weight weapon like a Longsword or an Estoc.
How open are your options with those rings? Let's find out.
Don't need the extra poise? Ninja flip around instead. Or combine the two and on the off chance you get hit you won't get staggered. Overkill? Definitely. Fun? Absolutely.
Want more defense because someone's using big boy weapons? Steel Protection. Also REALLY effective against small weapons.
Need some extra protection against whatever element your opponent is using? Flame/Spell/Thunder/Speckled Stoneplates to the rescue.
Low health and need more "oompf"? Blue/Red Tearstone will give you a nice boost of power.
Out of Green Blossoms or just lazy to pop one every time? Maybe you just want LUDICROUS stamina regen? The Chloranthy ring is your friend.
Wanna be sneaky beaky like? Ring of Fog/Slumbering Dragon Crest ring will give you a few chuckles.
Getting ganked? Hornet ring.
Using stabby poking weapons? Leo ring.
Do I need to mention how handy it is to have free ring slots when PvEing? Try going through Izalith without the Orange Charred ring, or fight the Four Kings while mid/fat rolling depending on your build. Yeah, possible, but really not fun.
If you happen to have infinite titanites and slabs somehow (or you just really love grinding), you can crystal all your weapons and you'll actually do slightly more damage with them than if they were +15 with 27 strength for the two handed bonus. Pretty cool.
The possibilities are fucking endless my dudes.
