Velka themed build I made in anticipation of the remaster. Baller sword can be replaced with falcion if you want to hunt gankers, and VoS can be replaced with any two of the following: GMB, TWoP, SLB or another WotG depending on where you invade. GMB and SLB are the optimal choices because you can counter magic and you can still buff if they use GMB. I just like VoS because it goes with the Velka theme. TWoP and a second WotG are good if you absolutely want hatemail or generally enjoy making people angry.
Poise is optimized so you can take a one-handed hit from any weapon and a two-handed hit from anything smaller than the zweihander. Regardless, you shouldn't trade with this build against anyone who has above 20 poise because you'll be using your weapons one-handed. This build is meant for big poke damage, not stunlocking (because anyone decent will toggle out after one hit anyway).
You can also replace the whip with a parrying dagger, but I like to use the whip for roleplay purposes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Pretty strong build if you can do heavy damage with the buff, Velka's rapier is for finishing kills and style points more than anything. If you get the opponent low you can land a running R1 or an edgy R2 pretty easily to finish them. Also good for backstabs, and you can swap out the leggings and gauntlets to use Hornet ring instead of Havel's if you wish to be a true animal.
This was my favorite build back when Dark souls was cool, and it's definitely going to be the first one I make in the remake. Hope you enjoy it and go get those dirty fucking darkwraiths.
