Notes from author
[Copied from Draft #2:]
A revision of my Evasive INT build I made earlier. The gameplan remains the same: space out the other player using my tools (magic and a spear) and wrack up as much damage as possible before really needing to close in (again, a similar style to my main, Link, in SSB4, only adapted to DS).

*The spellset in this version (#2) should've been identical to what you see here (#3).
Draft #1:
http://mmdks.com/8x1l
Edits from the previous draft:
+ FaP Ring
-> More HP and Stamina (+20%)
+ More Magic blocking (+40%)
+ More Vitality and Str (+9 and +2, respectively)
-> +461 HP overall (after FaP Ring)
-> Ability to use Lightning Claymore or Moonlight Greatsword as 1H backup weapons.
- Lower resistances all around.
- Lower Lightning and Fire blocking (-25% and -20%, respectively)
- Lower Poise (-18)
I think I might like this build the most so far. It doesn't have as much Poise, but taking pages from DS YouTubers from years ago, 56 Poise is enough to get by for a build like this. The lower resistances get eclipsed by the additional chunk of HP, too. If anything, I feel the blocking and resisting of Fire and Lightning is most worrisome; they're common and powerful, and by my standards, there isn't much to handle them. The change to the Crest Shield was made as a countermeasure against other heavy INT builds that rely on more space than even this build. Blocking 80% of magic damage still means little damage, Crown of Dusk or no.
Side equipment:
- Enchanted Shortbow + Moonlight Arrows
- MLGSword
- Lightning Claymore
- Grass Crest Shield
I prefer Lightning over Chaos damage just in case I get caught with little or no Humanity in stock. Lightning resistance doesn't seem to be common, anyway; Havel's set and the Dingy Robes are as common as it gets.
*Note: in order to use the Claymore or MLGSword, the Shortbow is the only other usable weapon w/ shield and catalyst.
