Using my default build and just changing the equipment. I've found this build to be very helpful in dealing with the Four Kings. The Four King's attacks deal both physical and magic resistance, hence the high poise, high magically resistant Havel's Set. The appearance of each of the 4-8 Kings is timed so you'll want to kill them as quickly as possible. The Manus Catalyst coupled with Dark Bead will do the trick. Since they appear in a timely fashion, it would be best to apply the first Great Magic Barrier right before dropping into the Abyss. The time to re-apply Great Magic Barrier will come right after you kill a single King in a timely fashion.
