When more poise is needed, switch out the Hornet Ring for the Wolf Ring. Use the Crest Shield only when necessary, and switch it out for the Tin Crystalization Catalyst if more firepower is needed. Use the Rapier mainly for backup, don't rely on it until spells run out. Switch the Hornet Ring out for the Dusk Crown Ring when the Rapier won't come in handy during a fight.
