Notes from author
Lariatius, the Sunknight Dragonslayer, was once a proud knight of Astora.
He led men across distant lands, and dragons fell before his blade.
During one such campaign, he found a quiet village untouched by war.
There, he met a woman whose warmth rivaled the sun he worshipped.
In time, he chose love over conquest.
But greed festers even in lands blessed by light.
The order he once served reduced the village to ash, sparing none.
Refusing to raise his sword against the one he loved, Lariatius turned his back on his brothers and fled, carrying her in his arms.
He did not notice when her warmth began to fade.
Near the outskirts of Lordran, he sought refuge in an abandoned watchtower.
Only then did he understand that he had been running alone.
Cursed by the Darksign, he remains there still —
neither fully hollow, nor fully alive —
waiting for a miracle that may never come.
Some say the Sunknight yet watches the horizon,
believing the sun will one day return what it once took from him.
